Today was Weird

I was so lazy to do anything with urgency today (like there should be - not used to it still). Anyway, I did what I usually do - i.e. woke up the same time as Bobby so I can make his breakfast, prepared his baon, washed the dishes, etc. But then I also attempted his grandmother's famous icebox cake and I think I didn't do it right. I just realized that the Nestle All-Purpose Cream in tetra pack is of lower quality than the one in can. So the lady fingers floated. Great. Good luck tomorrow. Over lunch, I met up with Czar, who's so stressed with work so we headed over to Shangri-la mall to de-stress. How? If you know Czar and I, you'll know. Hehehe. Oh and we topped it off with a White Hat.

Today

It has been ages since I visited blogspot... I don't even know how to begin telling the world what transpired since '07. I think the really only thing major is -- I got married! And to who else... the guy in most of my posts (from my other blog). Bobby. :-) Marriage is definitely bliss and we've already made it to our 1 year mark. Hurray!
Then suddenly, there was a surge of ideas...
I requested for L.O.A. and will officially start on June 16, 2010. I've been bothered by the idea since God knows when, but I somehow managed to last almost 10 years doing something I never dreamed about as a child -- or as an adult even. I always tell my team and colleagues, do your best no matter what, and you'll be rewarded. That's what I did - at least I tried. Regardless if it weren't really part of the plan. And I am forever grateful to my wonderful employer of 10 years, because they've been really good to me (good of course, is such a broad and relative term).
So people ask me, what the heck will you be doing in the next two months?! Get pregnant? Join your mom's business? Go on a sabbatical? These questions never fail to crash in family or friends' gatherings. Obviously. Answer: I don't know what I'm going to do. Honestly. I plan as the days come. It feels good not to be bound by a definite (work) plan!
In the last 6 days, I helped organize the publication of a coffee table book. I designed two wedding invitations. I cooked siomai from scratch. I started redecorating our condo unit. And time flew each time. You know what they say right? Anyway, my head is still bursting with ideas, which I'll probably write in my next posts, but tonight, I'll stick with this thought.
This is a temporary escape (for now). I'll see what's in store for me in the next 52 days.
